Jenro (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the jenro.co website and platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our service.
1. Data We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your email address and password (hashed). If you subscribe to a paid plan, we collect payment information through Stripe — we never store your credit card details directly.
Uploaded Data
You may upload CSV files containing retailer information such as business names, addresses, email addresses, websites, and contact names. This data is stored in your account and is only accessible to you.
Enrichment Data
We collect publicly available business data from third-party sources to enrich your retailer profiles. This includes Google Places data (ratings, reviews, business types, photos), publicly available website content, and AI-generated analysis. This data is derived from public sources and does not include private or personal information about retail store owners.
Brand Profile
Information you provide about your brand, including website URL, product category, price range, aesthetic description, and competitor brands. We may also analyze your publicly available website and product images to generate your brand profile.
Usage Data
We collect standard web analytics data including pages visited, features used, and general platform interaction patterns.
2. Legal Basis for Processing
Account data: We process your account information based on your consent when you sign up and our contractual obligation to provide the service.
Public business data: We process publicly available business information (Google Places data, public website content) based on our legitimate interest in providing business intelligence services. This data is publicly accessible and relates to business entities, not private individuals.
Payment data: We process payment information based on our contractual obligation to fulfill your subscription.
3. Data Retention
- Account data: Retained until you delete your account.
- Uploaded retailer data: Retained until you delete your account or remove individual retailers.
- Enrichment data: Cached for 30 days from the date of enrichment. After 30 days, data may be refreshed from public sources upon re-enrichment.
- Brand profile: Retained until you delete your account.
- Payment records: Retained as required by law for tax and accounting purposes (typically 7 years).
4. Third-Party Processors
We use the following third-party services to operate Jenro:
- Supabase (database and authentication) — stores account data and retailer records. Hosted in the US.
- Vercel (hosting and deployment) — serves the website and API routes.
- Stripe (payment processing) — handles subscription billing. We never store your card details.
- Google Places API (business data) — provides publicly available business information including ratings, reviews, and photos.
- Anthropic Claude API (AI analysis) — processes text and images to generate fit scores, brand profiles, and sentiment analysis. Data sent to Anthropic is not used for model training per their data usage policy.
5. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of all data we hold about you.
- Deletion: Delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Settings page.
- Export: Export your retailer data as CSV from the dashboard.
- Correction: Update or correct your account and brand profile information at any time.

If you are a retailer whose business information appears in our platform and you wish to have it removed, please contact us at privacy@jenro.co with your business name and we will process your request within 30 days.
6. Cookies
We use essential cookies for authentication (session management). We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies. You can manage your cookie preferences at any time through the cookie consent banner.
7. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (TLS), encrypted data at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews. Despite these measures, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure.
